A Cork Boat You Can Build Yourself
Here's another boating-related simple craft project to do with the kids.
December 4, 2013
Last week, we shared How to Make a Mayflower Craft for Thanksgiving. This week, we bring you cork boats that can be sailed in a tub, pool, or small pond.

These sailboats are easy to build and sailable, though we recommend a small, wave-free body of water.
Just by gluing together three leftover corks, sacrificing a playing card (better make it an ace), and adding a bamboo skewer for a mast, you've got yourself (or a young 'un) a boat. And with the recommended pull string, that boat can be sailed/towed around a bathtub or pool.
Since there's not a lot of freeboard in a cork, we recommend a spot without waves.
